AoCTP was founded in 1992 to promote a flat income tax, but has expanded into regulatory issues covering energy, social security reform, the Internet and global warming.
AoCTP's mission is "to bring common sense back into government by actively promoting, publishing, educating the public about and lobbying for public policies that foster limited government, personal accountability, a freer open market and the promotion of entrepreneurial solutions."
