Clean Water Industry Coalition is a group of industry, agriculture, state and municipal organizations opposed to the Clean Water Act.
A February 1998 article in "World Oil" described CWIC:
"A broad-based Clean Water Industry Coalition was organized to coordinate congressional visits, meetings with the administration, grassroots lobbying campaigns and media outreach efforts; all will be focused on reauthorization of the Clean Water Act. The coalition will continue to advocate inclusion of cost-benefits analysis, comparative risk assessments and sound science as necessary elements of any new act."
